We are seeking a hand therapist (OT or PT) to work in our newly established hand therapy clinic in Wanganui. The vacancy starts in March 2012, to cover maternity leave, with the potential of becoming a permanent position. Flexible part-time hours are available, with the possibility of full-time work.
We offer a competitive salary package, with professional development allowances. Associate hand therapists are welcome to apply as we have two registered hand therapists available to provide supervision.

Hand Therapy services are provided across 3 sites and whilst this role is based in Wellington, there will be a requirement to provide clinical leadership and support across all 3 sites.
To work effectively at the level we expect, you will need at least 5 years’ experience working as a registered hand therapist. You will be known by others as being an effective communicator, problem solver and educator. Your abilities in forward thinking and succession planning will also be put to good use in this role. Experience in developing competency frameworks and standards of practice would be an added bonus.

48 hours per fortnight.
We have an exciting opportunity to increase our hand therapy, burns & scar management service. This position is for 48 hours per fortnight working across three days in the week and is open to an experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapist or occupational therapist. We provide care to a wide range of patients both under the ACC and Ministry of Health contracts. Previous clinical experience in Hand Therapy and registration with the New Zealand Association of Hand Therapists (NZAHT) is preferred.
We have an excellent support structure and opportunities for further practice development. As a hand therapist, supervision can be provided from a registered hand therapist. Equally professional supervision is available within the service discipline. There are close working links with colleagues from other disciplines both internally and externally and the opportunity to take students on fieldwork placement.
